Job Description:
- Work in a lab environment, making RF measurements and capturing signals with high performance data acquisition systems in order to gauge RF signal impairments
- Support ASIC development of custom design that includes high performance FFT
- Construct test signals in Matlab, and upload to vector signal generators for receiver interference testing
- Program PLL and ADC blocks for optimum performance
- Characterize ADC impairments
- Automate equipment control for remote operation using Python VISA tools
- Position is based in Palo Alto, CA
Position requirements:
- 4-year EE degree (recent grad or junior/senior year intern)
- Prior work experience a plus
- Familiarity with lab test equipment (scopes, generators, spectrum analyzers)
- Familiarity with RF lab environment and equipment a plus
- Digital HW design coursework and labs
- Familiarity with HDL (Verilog preferred) and digital validation
- Experience with ASIC design tool flow (such as industry standard Synopsys or Cadence)
- Familiarity with analog to digital converters, data acquisition, system characterization, and sampling principles
- Signal processing and/or DSP coursework
- Languages: proficient in Python, Matlab, C/C++, Linux/UNIX
