Hello,

We are seeking students for an online email management study.

About the study: The purpose of this research is to understand people’s email habits and effect of different types of distractions. In this experiment, you will make a series of decisions regarding emails received on behalf of a fictional individual. You will not be actually replying to them, but your decisions will be recorded for experiment purposes. Depending on your performance in the task, you can earn anywhere between $12 and $16 for approx 45-60 minutes of your time and effort.

To participate in the study:

  1. You must be an UW student
  2. Be 18 years or older
  3. Have not participated in this experiment already

How to Signup: If you are interested in participating, please click on the link below to schedule. Calendly is an online platform used for scheduling participants for the study. Important:  On Calendly, You MUST choose only one date and time that best works for you. Please do not choose multiple times and days. If you do, your scheduling will be cancelled. After signing up, you will receive 2-3 follow-up emails with more details on how to participate.

How to Participate: This will be an online experiment. You can participate from home, remotely. To participate in this experiment, you must have access to a reliable computer, and must have access to a reliable Internet connection. On the day of the experiment, you will use an Internet Browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari) to login to the experiment platform and participate.
