2021 Undergraduate Research Symposium – Application open! (due Feb.24)

Dear Students,

The application for the virtual  24th Annual UW Undergraduate Research Symposium is now open!  The Sym­po­sium will be held on May 21, 2021. 

The Symposium is a celebration of undergraduate accomplishments in research, scholarship, and creative expression in all academic disciplines. Students may present their research either in a lightning talk session or an oral presentation session. We will also have a dedicated virtual space for performing arts presentations and a visual arts and design presentations. Last year, over 800 students participated in this exciting virtual event.

To learn more and start an appli­ca­tion, visit the Under­grad­u­ate Research Sym­po­sium sec­tion of the URP web­site. All UW under­grad­u­ates involved in research are encour­aged to apply. The appli­ca­tion dead­line is Feb­ru­ary 24, 2021.

Interested students are also encouraged to watch the Abstract Writing Workshops video to assist you with your application.

Not yet involved in research? Join us at the event to learn more about the exciting research that UW under­grads are participating in – you’ll learn about topics ranging from syn­thetic chem­istry to new ideas in the realm of dance.

P.S. You need not have results of your research by the February application deadline. In fact, most students will not have results until May. Watch the Abstract Writing Workshop to learn more about how you can write a compelling abstract for your in-process project!
