Hello, fellow UW graduate students!
We are a graduate student organization called Science Explorers. We do weekly virtual science outreach at a local elementary school and we’re currently looking for volunteers! We’re hosting an informational Zoom meeting this Thursday, 10/7 at 3:15 PM (details below).
Join us using this link:

Meeting ID: 946 1774 7717 (passcode is sciencex)

For more information about our organization:
During the school year, our outreach consists of 1-hour science lessons every Thursday (from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm). We work with 4th and 5th graders, typically in small groups consisting of 2 to 3 students per volunteer. We select one broad topic per quarter to focus on and design 7-8 lessons around that topic. This quarter, everything will be held virtually and our theme is Chemistry!

We’re always interested in recruiting more graduate student volunteers so please feel free to spread the word. If you can’t come to the meeting but are interested in volunteering, please send us an email and we’re happy to answer any questions!

Hope to see some of you on Thursday! – Science Explorers
