October 14, 2021

My name is Douglas Vo, a Senior Coordinator from the T. Howard Foundation.

I wanted to share an opportunity with the students at the University of Washington for internships in the Media and Entertainment industry. Attached is a flyer I created for an information session I’ll be hosting via Handshake on October 20th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM PST. Whenever you have a chance, I’d like to ask if you can share this flyer with your students along with any other of your colleagues who can share it with their students.

A little bit of information about T. Howard. We are a non-profit organization based in Silver Spring, MD whose mission is to promote diversity in the Media and Entertainment industry by increasing the number of diverse and underrepresented groups and underserved communities within the industry. One of the ways we accomplish our goal is through our Internship Program where we place students in internships hosted by our partner companies (HBO, ESPN, Discovery Inc, and many others). Our internships are open to all majors as all majors align with our 5 career pathways (Art & Design, Business, Communications, People & Policy, and Tech).

Our relationship and support with the students continue after the completion of their internship in our Career and Alumni services where the students have access to job boards to our partner companies. We have had many students that pursued executive positions and it all started with an application to the T. Howard Foundation.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

Best,

Douglas Vo
