Greetings from the Space Grant office! We are running a NASA Artemis challenge, and we have an opportunity that may interest grad students in ECE (this is only open to U.S. citizens, because it’s NASA funding). For the challenge, teams of undergraduates tackle the question of “how do we access a lava tube on the Moon and explore its potential for creating a habitat for astronauts?” Teams are paired with graduate mentors — and grad mentors do get a stipend!
Here’s the link to the opportunity listing on our website:
Is this something you could share with ECE’s grad students? We have a few mentor spots to fill yet, and ECE students are a good fit. If you have any specific questions before sharing the information, Mary Denmon, (Cc:ed) our deputy director coordinating the challenge, can answer them. For students who are interested in applying, please direct them to our office email: nasa@uw.edu
