In the spring quarter, the MSE department offers a Data Science class that focuses on the tools and methods that are more applicable to Big Data, or future collaborative data science approaches, such as Docker, API, High-performance computing, and cloud-based data science tools and methods. The class developed by the MSE department and Chemistry Department collaborate with eScience and UW-IT cloud solution. This class is listed as an elective for Data Science Minor and sponsored by Microsoft Azure Cloud.
We still have the capacity to take more students and this class is open to any students who fulfill the prerequisite of the class.
