The Black Graduation committee is excitedly preparing to host the 26th Annual Black Graduation and Kente Ceremony in-person on Thursday, June 9, 2022 in Meany Hall. The time of the ceremony has not yet been determined but will be communicated via our website, social media pages, and various listservs soon. Based on the capacity of Meany Hall, we are only able to accommodate Autumn 2021 to Summer 2022 graduates.
On Friday, March 18th, the committee sent the below message to all Black undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, who, credit-wise, are eligible to participate in this year’s ceremony, encouraging them to register. As we’ve heard that some students have not seen this email, we’re asking for your assistance to share this email with Black graduating students in your departments. Please also ask them to check their spam as it is potentially sitting there as well. Deadline to register for this year’s ceremony is Friday, May 20, 2022.
