For pre-and postdoctoral trainees.

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to provide support for training that is truly interdisciplinary in nature. Trainees work with two mentors who provide distinct, complementary areas of expertise. Research projects typically transcend the traditional boundaries separating the molecular and cellular, clinical, epidemiologic and social cancer sciences. Overall research projects must be broadly related to cancer.

The program is supported by two funding sources, a NIH training grant and Fred Hutch institutional funds. Each has its own eligibility requirements. Regardless of funding source, trainees participate in all program activities and are subject to the same application process. Only one application is required to be considered for both funding sources.

The program’s primary funding source is a NCI T32 training grant.

Tentative Training Period:  December 1, 2022 – November 30, 2023
