New and returning *first-gen graduate students at the University of Washington are invited to participate in a speed networking event! Modeled after the Collaborating with Strangers program developed by librarians at the University of Florida, the purpose of the event is to foster communication, spark ideas, and create connections among participants. Graduate students may find potential study partners, project collaborators, or be encouraged to create a new student organization based on mutual research or professional interests.
*A first-gen graduate student is in the first generation of their family to earn a Bachelor’s degree–and is currently working towards a graduate degree.
This event is a partnership between Graduate Student Affairs in The Graduate School and the UW Libraries Research Commons. Send questions: uwgsa@uw.edu
