Prospective PhD students who want to obtain following skill sets are encouraged to apply for the positions at Harvard SEAS [seas.harvard.edu]

(i) chip-scale nonlinear optics and photonic integration (specifically for atomic-photonic integration and nonlinear information processing), 

(ii) advanced nano-fabrications in the Harvard nanofab [cns1.rc.fas.harvard.edu]

(iii) photonic inverse design as well as numerical simulations, and 

(iv) photonic foundry tape-out (e.g. silicon nitride, lithium niobate, III-V lasers)

 

Background in experimental physics would be helpful but not necessarily required. Applications from diverse background are strongly encouraged.
