Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team ready to learn and contribute to various projects in the aerospace, defense, medical, consumer electronics, and automotive industries. In this role, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and production of highly-regulated, complex products, hardware, electronics, and devices. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure that the product meets all necessary standards and requirements. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineering, to identify potential failure modes and develop appropriate test methods.

You will also be responsible for specifying testing hardware components and equipment, debugging automated test equipment, and developing and maintaining documentation for testing processes and results. In addition, you may be called upon to provide technical expertise and guidance to clients during the design and development phase, as well as support the production and maintenance of the product throughout its lifecycle. Overall, you will play a key role in ensuring that complex products are safe, reliable, and meet all necessary regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop hardware test plans for electronic and mechanical components and systems
  • Conduct engineering analysis to identify potential failure modes and develop appropriate test methods
  • Specify testing hardware components and equipment, including automated test equipment and fixtures
  • Debug and troubleshoot automated test equipment and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineering, to ensure proper integration and testing of products
  • Develop and maintain documentation for hardware test plans, testing procedures, and results
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and concepts, including electrical, mechanical, and software systems
  • Experience with hardware testing, including the design and development of test plans and procedures
  • Proficiency in automated test equipment and software, including LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, and Python
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems, including the ability to troubleshoot and debug equipment and software issues
  • Experience with hardware and software integration and testing
  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions based on test results
  • Strong problem-solving skills are a must
  • Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations, such as those related to aerospace, medical devices, or automotive components
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in computer applications, project management software, and tools
Due to the nature of many of our projects, we require US citizenship.
Partial remote work is possible. Some projects involving hardware will require being on-site at our office or at the client site.
