Hello SEFS Community!
Interested in taking some time to enjoy the autumnal leaf display?! This coming Saturday the 28th of October there will be a guided campus tree tour highlighting some of the best and brightest of the deciduous trees of campus. The tour will depart from the Husky Statue in front of the West Entrance of the HUB at 12 o-clock noon and work its way across campus with a chance to learn about the trees of UW, how fall colors work, and what happens to all those leaves after they hit the ground. This tour will also be joined by the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER), which will be showcasing some of their projects on campus, and answering questions for anyone with interest in joining the UW Chapter! This tour is open to anyone, but be sure to dress for the weather! The forecast calls for a sunny day, but it looks like it will be a chilly one. If you are unable to make it to the tour, be sure to check out the UW Campus Tree Tour website for more information and a self-guided version of the Autumn Highlights tour at https://sites.google.com/uw.edu/schoolofenvironmentalandforest/home . We hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Theodore Hoss
