We are thrilled to invite you all to our upcoming event tailored specifically for you – Designing Your Postdoc on Wednesday, March 13th, from 8:30 am-1:00 pm at the Husky Union Building (HUB) room 145! This workshop is designed to provide early-stage postdocs with invaluable insights and guidance.

Led by Dr. Sofie Kleppner, Associate Vice Provost and Associate Dean at Stanford University’s Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, alongside Robin Colomb Sugiura, Director of Postdoctoral Training at Stanford University’s Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and National Postdoc Association Board Member, this immersive workshop will introduce you to the concept of design thinking and how it can be applied to craft a comprehensive postdoctoral training plan. The work we do will support new perspectives, identify mentoring needs, and ensure that your individual development plan is thoughtful and balanced. It’s an opportunity to reflect, plan, and connect with fellow postdocs in an engaging and supportive way. Please note that there’s approximately an hour of prework required for this session, details of which will be provided upon RSVP.

We’re kicking off the day with breakfast from 8:30-9:00 am, followed by an interactive workshop session running from 9:00am-12:00pm. We’ll conclude with a lunch from 12:00-1:00pm, on us.

To secure your spot, please complete this RSVP form by Wednesday, March 6th!

If you have any questions or require further information, please reach out (ainalh@uw.edu)! We look forward to having you join us for this exciting workshop!
