We are seeking two internships (starting as soon as possible or for this coming summer) who are energetic and exceptionally talented software engineer to:
- Contribute to the direction and architecture of our embedded software development.
- Contribute to developing, designing, testing and supporting software designs for our wireless power and fleet-management system, communication systems, app development, and user
interfaces used in unique robotic applications. - Communicate effectively to our business team about priorities, challenges and triumphs.
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing studies in either Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Strong C++ and Python programming skills
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Good oral and written skills for communication and documentation
- Must be a strong team player with great interpersonal skills. Must be able to thrive in a startup environment with minimal supervision
- Must have work authorization prepared or US citizenship
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience using Linux and Linux-based development tools
- Bare-metal C++ experience
- UX design and architecture experience
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with development on small, low-power embedded platforms (ARM)
- Familiarity with wireless RF technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Packet Radios, etc.)
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Familiarity with containers (Docker, Podman, etc.), virtual machines, and serverless computing (AWS Lambda)
- Familiarity with common communications protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB)
- Familiarity with firmware debugging tools such as GDB, JTAG, In-Circuit Emulator, scopes and logic/bus analyzer
- Experience with one or more RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS, uC/OS, Nuttx) and multithreaded programming
