Again this spring, the Husky 100 will recognize 100 outstanding UW students who are making the most of their time at the UW. This is a remarkable way to recognize UW students who are demonstrating the University’s innovative spirit and commitment to improving our world, and I invite you to nominate undergraduate and graduate students for the Husky 100 by Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at 5 p.m. PST. As the world continues to change around us, the stories of our students’ resilience, compassion and community impact are a constant bright spot. Huskies are continuing to discover, create, innovate and advocate in order to advance a healthier and more equitable present and future. Stories like these embody what the Husky 100 recognition is all about. Anyone — faculty, staff, students, community members, alumni — may nominate up to 10 current UW juniors, seniors or graduate students from any of our three campuses. It only takes a moment — all you need to do is enter their UW NetID. Once nominated, the students must complete their applications by Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 12 p.m./noon PST. Students also may apply without being nominated; however, nominating a student is a powerful showing of support. For many, it is the encouragement they need to apply when they otherwise might not imagine themselves as a candidate. |

As faculty and staff, you know that the ideal student experience is an engaged student experience. The Husky 100 honors students who contribute in a class or a lab, as well as make a difference through service learning, mentoring, campus activities, internships and jobs, research, family responsibilities or capstone projects. The Husky 100 are able to connect their learning experiences as they prepare for lives and careers after graduation. Thank you for your assistance in nominating exceptional students and encouraging them to apply. |
