We will have Dr. Suraj Chakravarthi Raja from Mathworks giving a virtual seminar on signal processing in Simulink this Friday. This seminar will be virtual over Zoom, but you are also welcome to use SIG224.

📅 DateFriday, April 18th
🕕 Time12 – 1 PM(ish)

Abstract: Simulink is a powerful design platform with built-in solvers to simulate the behavior of systems over time. In this session, we highlight how to rapidly develop Simulink models, verify algorithm behavior with dynamic testing features, and generate efficient code from the model. The examples and techniques shown will enable algorithm designers to accelerate the development of discrete, analog, and mixed-signal systems, all while collaborating on large multi-domain models with multiple cross-functional development teams.
In this session, we will discuss how to:
  • Represent and simulate an algorithm in Simulink over time.
  • Leverage your MATLAB algorithm in Simulink simulations.
  • Automate multiple simulations using MATLAB script.
  • Create unit test, collect coverage results, for systematic verification.
  • Generate C/C++ code from the algorithm model in Simulink.
Bio: Suraj Chakravarthi Raja is an Application Engineer supporting customers in the areas of signal processing, controls, and HDL code generation at MathWorks. With a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Suraj has nearly a decade of experience in the rapid bring-up of real-time algorithms for FPGAs and embedded systems. His prior work has been funded by DARPA, NSF, DoD, and NIH. He also has master’s degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering.
