We welcome you to attend the UW Three Minute Thesis Competition! The theme this year is Impact. A panel of esteemed judges will select First Place and Runner up winners and the in-person audience will vote for People’s Choice. This free event is open to the UW community. A reception will follow the presentations and free light foods and refreshments will be available. Hosted annually since 2017, the University of Washington’s Three Minute Thesis event is a professional development competition that celebrates the exciting capstone and research experiences of master’s and doctoral students. The competition supports graduate students’ capacity to effectively explain their research or capstone project in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a public audience. Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an academic research communication competition originally developed by the University of Queensland, Australia. |
