Early Talent Program Overview
The Terex Early Talent Program is a strategic initiative designed to identify and develop the future leaders of our global organization. Opportunities include three month internships, six month co-ops, and three year long rotational Leadership Development Programs (LDP). What You’ll Do
During your time with us you will:
- Be part of the Robotics team at Genie
- Own a robotics project from beginning to end – design, develop, prototype, and test
- Example projects could include designing a mechanical automated system or coding an AI agent to control a robot
- Collaborate directly with customers by bringing prototypes to job sites, gathering feedback, and refining real-world applications
- Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to seamlessly integrate robotics into Genie’s product ecosystem
- Explore advanced technologies, including motion control, sensor fusion, and AI-based perception systems, to enhance product capabilities
What You’ll Bring
- Currently pursuing an ABET accredited engineering bachelor’s degree or higher in robotics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar field or a bachelor’s degree in computer science
- Able to work full-time 40 hours per week for 3 or 6 months, in-person in Redmond, WA
- Proven experience in robotics, mechatronics, programming, electrical engineering, or automation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability and interest in working in a team environment
Nice to Haves
- Interest in joining the Engineering Leadership Development Program after graduation
- Previous robotics internships or club experience (ie. Robotics Competition, First Robotics Club)
- Are adaptable, innovative, and proactive
- Attention to detail and accuracy
The compensation for this position is $26/hr for undergraduate interns and $28/hr for graduate or returning interns. This position is eligible for holiday pay and, if desired, medical insurance.
