2026 Engineering Graduate Student & Postdoc Industry Recruitment Event (E-GSPIRE) – hosted by Ohio State University
Calling all STEM and STEM adjacent graduate students and postdocs!
Are you interested in exploring or finding an internship or a full-time position within industry or government?
The Engineering Graduate Student & Postdoc Industry Recruitment Event (E-GSPIRE) is the perfect opportunity for individuals with advanced degrees to connect with various industries and governmental organizations. We also welcome engineering adjacent majors (STEM) at this career fair. This career fair is exclusive to our Consortium of 23 R1 Institutions and their graduate students (MS/PhD) and postdocs like you. We invite you to join us and connect with top employers and organizations seeking bright minds like yours.
All individuals, from first-year graduate students to veteran MS/PhD/Postdocs, as well as alumni with Handshake accounts, are welcome to participate in the E-GSPIRE fair. Whether you are considering a career in academia or industry, this event will provide valuable networking opportunities and the chance to explore and secure professional internships or employment in industry or government.
Benefits of Attending:
1. Explore your future career options in industry and government via group sessions!
2. Chat with industry and/or government recruiters to build your professional network throughout your current degree/program.
3. Find an internship for this summer to build a strong resume!
4. Find a full-time career now, especially if you are within 18 months of completing your program!
Graduating Soon?
Individuals who are due to graduate in June/August/December 2026 are strongly encouraged to submit a resume using the provided link in the registration confirmation email. It’s possible to submit a resume even if you are unable to attend the career fairs, as all industry partners will receive all resumes submitted.
NOTE: You are not required to submit a resume to participate in this career fair. If you do submit your resume, it is NOT equal to registering for the event—don’t forget to register on Handshake!
The deadline for resume submissions for the virtual E-GSPIRE is Thursday, January 8th at 8:59 pm Pacific Time. It is advised to submit your information early to account for any potential technical difficulties. Adding a resume on Handshake is also recommended, as it is a useful platform for job searching and applying for positions at your level.
Companies participating in this event will exclusively offer internships and professional full-time positions for Postdocs, and for PhDs and Master’s level students. The list of attending companies may expand closer to the event date, so it’s important to check back frequently on Handshake for updates.
Please note that if you require any accommodations such as live captioning or interpretation to fully participate in this event, please contact askcic@uw.edu. Requests made two weeks before the event will generally allow time to provide seamless access, but the universities will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
Get ready to take your future to the next level! We look forward to seeing you there!
