The Chang Lab at UC Berkeley, led by Prof. Serina Chang, is seeking a postdoc in AI & Society to start in summer 2026. Our lab is part of Berkeley EECS, the Computational Precision Health Program at Berkeley and UCSF, and the Berkeley AI Research (BAIR) Lab. Potential postdoc projects include studying human-AI interactions and assessing the impact of generative AI on society (we have ongoing collaborations with public health and social science organizations), along with building multimodal and scalable AI simulations of human behaviors. We have a preference for a 2-year postdoc but are willing to consider strong applicants looking for a 1-year postdoc.
