Happy Spring Quarter! UPWARDS is excited to extend opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students!
What is UPWARDS?
UPWARDS (University Partnership for Workforce Advancement and Research & Development in Semiconductors) for the Future brings together six U.S. and six Japanese universities, including UW, to build a cross-Pacific network advancing semiconductor talent and cutting-edge research. The program is supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), Micron, and Tokyo Electron (TEL).
Summer Intensive Programs Opportunities
🇯🇵 Students have an opportunity to spend their summer in Japan! Five Japanese partner universities are hosting intensive programs where you’ll connect with students, faculty, researchers, and industry professionals while exploring cutting-edge semiconductor innovation. Students will gain international experience, build cross-cultural skills, and grow a global network.
