Concerned about wildfires? Join NSIN for their second hackathon of the year, Beat the Blaze, kicking off at the end of March. This hackathon will focus on coordinating responses to wildfires to enable the National Guard and first responders to work together more effectively. It will launch on March 29th and conclude on April 16th. Compete for $15,000 from NSIN and a share of $5,000 in Azure credits from Microsoft to develop your solution. NSIN hackathons are closer to a design sprint or startup weekend rather than a traditional cybersecurity hackathon. You don’t have to be able to code or be an engineer to participate; we encourage anyone who is creative to attend and join a team. The hackathon will have participants from all over the country and is open to all UW students, faculty, alumni, and entrepreneurs and startups. Register at beattheblaze.us/signup
