Applications are now open for the Lead TA position in Academic Year 2022-2023. 

The Lead TA position plays a vital part in shaping the training and development of our TAs. Former lead TAs have told us this experience is valuable in multiple aspects — professional, pedagogical, mentoring, and communication development. ECE is currently the only UW engineering department with this role, so this is definitely something we are proud of!

Basic responsibilities of the Lead TA are listed below (official job description is attached).
– Update TA website (TA applications, quarterly TA name updates)
– Update TA mailing list (subject line and membership)
– Present during New Student Day
– Hold quarterly TA training sessions
– Plan and host workshops and events throughout each quarter
– Collect mid-quarter TA workload surveys

The Lead TA position is a year-long commitment that requires you to be a student in Autumn 2022, Winter 2023 and Spring 2023.  Tuition waiver, full benefits, and a quarterly stipend are part of the position.

The priority deadline to submit your application is Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
