May 14, 2021

We are very happy to be inviting those graduating with a Ph.D. and/or MSEE between Autumn 2020 and Summer 2021 to Register for our 2021 ECE Virtual Graduation Celebration taking place on Wednesday, June 9: 7:-9 pm (PDT) via Zoom and REMO by using the following link. ECE Registration will close on Monday, May 24th.
This is separate from the UW Commencement Ceremony Registration which is open from May 5 – May 16. You will need to Register for UW and ECE ceremonies (separately) – even if you only plan to attend the ECE ceremony – so that you may order your regalia (cap/gown/hood).  Please see info on both ceremonies here:
Our Virtual Procession will include all Graduating Student Names, Ph.D. and Master Thesis Titles, and Faculty Advisor names, and Headshots/Photos if you submit a photo. We are very happy to have our ECE Chair, Eric Klavins providing opening remarks and Dr. Rico Malvar as our Graduation Speaker.

Faculty and Advising Staff will be providing their own brief warm wishes to you, and the entire celebration will be recorded. After the ceremony, we will provide links to these videos to share.
Wednesday, June 9: 7:00 – 9:00 pm (PDT) via Zoom

We hope that all of you who are graduating feel celebrated and appreciated. Given the COVID-19 restrictions and available technology we believe this virtual graduation ceremony will celebrate the years of extraordinarily hard work our students have put in as we look forward to their incredibly bright futures. We invite all family and friends of graduating students to join us via Zoom and Remo for this exciting transitional moment from student to new or continuing professional, researcher, academic, and all other future endeavors! We wish you much happiness and success as you move into the next phase of your lives and careers.
Our best wishes to you always,
Jen and Mack
