Qualifications
●      Undergraduate degree in engineering, chemistry, mathematics, or related discipline.
●      Strong commitment to teaching, with teaching or tutoring experience strongly desired.
●      Strong commitment to working with first-generation and underrepresented students and students from low-income backgrounds.
●      Patience and strong organizational skills for helping students who may be struggling with chemistry.
●      Ability to maintain, track and update attendance sheets and work closely with STARS counselors on obstacles to success that individual students may experience.
●      High motivation, good interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to strive in a fast-paced environment.
●      Superior time management skills.
●      Strong communication skills using multiple platforms and ability to work as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
This is a 50% FTE academic student employee appointment and includes the standard tuition waiver and health benefits. Salary is commensurate with the appointee’s academic standing.
