FIUTS is currently looking to recruit new facilitators who have a desire to meet students from around the world, develop leadership skills, and boost their resume. Volunteering for FIUTS is a great opportunity to learn intercultural leadership skills and make new friends. Student leaders have the unique opportunity to connect with international friends through virtual and in-person! events like our Mt. Rainier hike, Super Caffeinated Tour, and more!
FIUTS welcomes student volunteers of all skill levels and backgrounds. Facilitators can be any current UW student, domestic or international, IELP, graduate or undergraduate. Preference for those who have completed at least one academic quarter at the UW. While a driver’s license is not required to become a FIUTS facilitator, facilitators can receive big discounts on events by helping to navigate our Global Getaways!
To become an active facilitator, students need to complete a facilitator application (online or in office) and attend one of our regularly scheduled New Facilitator Orientation training sessions. The facilitator application can be found at https://www.fiuts.org/fiuts-facilitator-application. Additional information on FIUTS student leadership opportunities can be found at https://www.fiuts.org/become-a-leader.
Please contact us at info@fiuts.org, alex@fiuts.org, or josef.cole@fiuts.org if you have any questions. We hope you are enjoying your summer!
