ECE faculty have received this call for nominations for the Professor Irene C. Peden Electrical Engineering Fellowship. Selection will be communicated in time for the November Scholarship Donor Luncheon, though funds will be distributed Winter quarter 2022.
Timeline:
October 25, 2021 – Deadline for faculty to submit Nominations
October 26-29, 2021- Fellowship Committee reviews and selects recipient
November 1, 2021 – Student is notified of award

Award includes:
- 1 quarter Fellowship
- Full tuition and fees, health insurance plus a stipend
Eligibility Criteria:
- Full-time graduate student in Electrical and Computer Engineering
- The recipient must remain an active, full-time student in good standing in ECE and able to accept the award Winter 2022
- Preference from the donor is given to those students who demonstrate an interest and/or active role in advancing the research and career interests of women in electrical engineering
Required Nomination Materials:
- Student CV
- Student research summary/proposal (1-2 pages)
- Students’ most current UW unofficial transcript
- Faculty Advisor letter of nomination to include both academic and DEI achievements
