Summary
The R&D lab at Bardy Diagnostics Inc, an innovator in cardiac monitoring, is currently seeking an electrical engineering intern at our Bellevue headquarters. Assist with new product development, and work with and learn from accomplished and interesting electrical engineers with a strong history of successful cardiac monitoring product development.
The right person will have a strong curiosity about how things work, has a history of taking things apart, likes learning, and does electronics projects on their own. Areas of contribution include PCB/PCBA design and firmware development as well as hands on electrical lab activities. Responsibilities
• Engineering lab related tasks: soldering, rework, and part organization/kitting
• Design schematics and circuit board layouts
• Author firmware in C for bare-metal microcontroller applications
• Testing and troubleshooting of new designs
Requirements
• Sophomore, Junior or Senior in Electrical Engineering
• Hands-on experience with hardware and firmware development
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, and similar lab equipment
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong oral/written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Available for at least 20 hours/week
Preferred
• Junior or Senior in Electrical Engineering
• Available for full time work (32+ hours/week)
• Experience with Altium Designer
• Experience developing firmware for ARM Cortex Microcontrollers
• SMT soldering experience
