The Samvid Scholars program has now opened its second application cycle for these awards of up to $50,000/year for up to 2 years of graduate study in the US. Please share the details below and attached with students you know who may be interested to apply. Applications are due by March 31!
As always, the Office of Merit Scholarships, Fellowships & Awards advising team is available for scholarship advising, application support and feedback to UW undergrads and bachelor’s alumni working on this or any application, or exploring their scholarship options. Please encourage your students to connect with us!
Samvid Scholars eligibility requirements:
- Pursue a full-time graduate program of 2 years or longer at a university in the United States, in one of the following eligible programs:
- MD
- MBA
- JD
- MPP
- MPH
- EdD
- MS/MA in the social sciences or STEM
- Be a first-year graduate student for the 2022-2023 academic year
- Have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5
- Be a U.S. citizen or DACA recipient
Brief Samvid Scholars program details:
Samvid Scholars will empower future leaders and changemakers by providing financial support for graduate study and leadership development. Scholars receive:
- Up to $50K for tuition and fees each year for two years of study in an eligible graduate program
- Two years of leadership development programming to support them to continue to fulfill their extraordinary potential
