BEE590 Computer Architecture Instructor 2022

UW Bothell Electrical Engineering invites an instructor who can teach one of the courses for MSEE graduate students in Electrical Engineering.
Course Title: BEE 590 Special Topics in Electrical Engineering: Computer Architecture I
Autumn Quarter: September 28 – December 9, 2022 (Holidays: 11/11, 11/24-25)
Course Schedule: Monday and Wednesday, 8:00 – 10:00 pm, In-person instruction
Expected Enrollment: 10 ~ 15
Course Description: 
Introduction to computer architecture & organization. Topics covered include assembly and machine language, microarchitecture including single-cycle, multicycle, and pipelined
processors, and memory systems. Students will learn what the structure of a computer looks like and how internal components, such as ALU, register files, and instruction/data memory,
work together to process a specific instruction. In addition, they will learn a memory hierarchy in a computer system.
Suggested Textbooks: Computer Organization and Design – The Hardware/Software Interface by David Patterson and John Hennessy (6th Edition)
