In their own words:
I am an experienced academic with a demonstrated history of teaching a wide variety of undergraduate mathematics and graduate mathematics education courses in addition to conducting research. My research has mainly been focused on making mathematics accessible to all learners through mathematical modeling, use of technology in K-16 mathematics instruction, pedagogical strategies for supporting English Language Learners (ELLs) and mathematics coaching. Currently, I am exploring the use of Scratch as a mathematical modeling tool in grades 6-8 with an emphasis on applying computational thinking in solving everyday problems.
