November 3, 2022

This is a friendly reminder that the Winter 2023 TA application for Electrical and Computer Engineering courses is now open and can be found at https://forms.gle/WfUtpKjX2NzDdRwT9 [forms.gle].

The deadline to apply is November 17 at 5 pm.

A few reminders:

  • International students must meet memo 15 criteria to be eligible to TA.
  • We prefer you use your UW net ID to log in to the form.
  • A resume is required. Please have a section where you list ALL skills (Java, Python, CUDA, OpenCL, GPU,  Verilog, etc). The rest of your resume should reflect all duties related to teaching, mentoring, tutoring or project leadership, etc.
  • If you are interested in EE 393, please provide a writing sample. Your essay on an application to your program or a course paper are examples you can use.
  • The Winter 2023 PMP classes can be found https://www.washington.edu/students/timeschd/WIN2023/95index.html#ENG. Sometimes PMP classes can be difficult to match so if you are interested and have the skill sets needed, please list them.
  • The Winter 2023 Daytime classes can be found at https://www.washington.edu/students/timeschd/WIN2023/ee.html.
  • Syllabus for Daytime undergraduate classes can be found at Course Descriptions – UWECE listed as Master Course Description (ABET Sheet)
  • The TA website managed by our Lead TA, Ramya Subramanian will be updated for Winter 2023. It has past workshop information and class supporting resources – https://wp.ece.uw.edu/eceta/resources/
  • PhD students are first priority and usually take a few weeks to get through. Masters and Undergrads are generally not considered until 99% of our PhD’s are placed so may take longer to send out offers.
  • Masters and Undergrads should reach out to other departments in which they have the skills and knowledge to inquire about TA positions and processes.
  • You have a higher chance of finding a TA position if you list up to the maximum of 8 classes that you are confident you have the skills to TA
