The ISS advisors have created videos for F-1 international students.
- Taking Time Off or Leave of Absence Video Series
- If you have students who have shared that they want to take time off from studies, these on-demand videos talk them through their options.
- Curricular Practical Training Video Series
- Students interested in CPT can review these videos, which have the exact information their advisors would share with them if they visit us in Schmitz Hall.
- Post-Completion OPT Video Series
- Students preparing for graduation who want to work in the U.S. should review these OPT videos before coming to meet with an ISS advisor. The videos should answer all of their basic questions and even give them the tools to proceed with an application request to ISS.
- STEM OPT Video Series
- Students studying in STEM majors who want to work in the U.S. for those “three years” of eligibility MUST watch this video (and the OPT videos). Students will understand the STEM OPT extension and requirements if they watch the videos.
The location for videos will move from YouTube to another online source down the road but that should not be until late summer 2023.
