Please join the Graduate Society of Women Engineers for a Women in Academia Panel on Tuesday, May 2nd, from 5-6:30 pm on Zoom or in person in Raitt Hall 121! The panel is composed of several women in different stages of their careers in Academia, including a UW Postdoc with a secured professorship, a new Seattle U faculty, and a UW tenured professor from the electrical, mechanical, and chemical engineering departments, respectively. We are planning a hybrid hour-and-a-half event where students can learn about their career paths, experiences in academia, and ask questions in a supportive environment.

All students are welcome and all attendees will be entered into a raffle to win a copy of “The Professor Is In: The Essential Guide to Turning your Ph.D into a Job’ by Karen Kelsky! Please consider inviting any undergraduate students you work with that might be interested in graduate school and academia as well! Light refreshments will be provided, please RSVP here
