OptiNav is a small aeroacoustics R&D company in Bellevue. Over the years, we have had a number of summer interns from the UW Aero Astro Department. This year we have a need for an ECE student to support the development of an FPGA-based acoustic transmitter. It will include 512 piezoelectric loudspeakers, driven so as to produce known acoustic spinning modes. Other projects include tracking drones with microphone phased arrays.
