Spring 2023 Thesis/Dissertation:
• Last Day for final submission of an electronic thesis/dissertation (ETD) for students paying Graduation Registration Waiver Fee
Through Tuesday, June 27: End of Week 1
•$20 fee not charged. Course drops do not appear on your transcript. Add and drop courses freely using MyUW. If you drop all your courses, a withdrawal statement and the date of withdrawal will be posted to your transcript.
Tuesday, June 27
• Late Add Period – $20 fee and entry Codes required to add all courses
Tuesday, June 27 – Monday, July 3: Week 2
• Unrestricted drop period. $20 fee and A tuition forfeiture may be charged. Course drops do not appear on your transcript.
Tuesday, July 4
• July 4th Independence Day – Holiday
Tuesday, July 4 – Saturday, August 12:
•Late Course Drop Period – Use of Current Quarter Drop required and a $20 Fee is assessed. Course drops appear on your transcript. To withdraw from all your courses during this period, use the Adviser-Assisted Drop.
Final Exams
• Typically, the last day of class
Friday, August 18
- Last day to change to or from S/NS grade option. $20 fee
- Last Day of Instruction
- Last day to submit request and payment for On-leave Request for Summer Quarter through MyGrad
- Last Day for graduate students to submit Reinstatement payment
- Last Day to pay $250 Graduate Registration Waiver Fee without registering/paying tuition for Summer Quarter (for students who were registered in the previous Winter Quarter)
Last day to file a Master’s Request for graduation in Summer Quarter through MyGrad
Friday, August 18
Summer 2023 Thesis/Dissertation:
- Last Day for final submission of an electronic thesis/dissertation (ETD)
- Last Day for Doctoral Reading Committee members to submit electronic approval of your dissertation in Committee Log in or the master’s thesis approval form for an electronic thesis to the Graduate School.
- Last Day to submit Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED) online (doctoral students only)
Tuesday, August 22: Grade Submission Deadline
• No changes can be made to course grading options.
