ECE New Graduate Student Orientation: CURRENT STUDENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – 9/26/23

Hello ECE Graduate Students:

We need current student volunteers to sign up for the following events to help make our New Grad Student Orientation on Tuesday, September 26th a success. I’ve included the events below and a sign up sheet for you to add your names. **Continental Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all volunteers as well as an invitation to the Orientation Social (free food and drinks!) with new students/ faculty/ staff.**

New Grad Student Orientation_Student Volunteers_9-26-23

• Student Check-in (8:30 – 9:00 am): 2-3 volunteers needed.
• MS and PhD Lunch (11:30 – 12:30): 1-2 volunteers needed for each lunch. MS and PhD students will be in separate rooms and we would like 1-2 MS and/ or PhD students in each room to help build community and socialize with the new students. 
• Grad Student Panel (12:45 – 1:30 pm): 4-5 volunteers needed. Talk to students about what it’s like being a UW ECE student, tips for success, answer any questions they may have about UW, ECE, Seattle, etc.
• Scavenger Hunt (3:30-4:30 pm): 6-7 volunteers needed. Help organize, give instructions to students, and score for winners

• New and Current Student Meet Up (6:00 pm – ??): 4-5 volunteers needed. Help walk students over to Big Time Brewery and need 1 or 2 students who are able to pay for the food and submit receipts for reimbursement from ECE.
