The UW Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is excited to invite you to the second WomXn at the Forefront of ECE Research (WAFER) event at UW! This event aims to cultivate an inclusive environment for participants and speakers alike to share and learn more about research in ECE, hear others’ experience in the field (at different stages of their careers), and to ultimately leave the event feeling inspired to potentially pursue a career in ECE or other tech-related fields.
Speakers of WAFER include faculty, students in ECE and related fields, and industry leaders such as Amazon, Boeing, Impinj, Meta and Microsoft.
We would like to invite students who identify as women and/or non-binary, to an opportunity to showcase their research at the student tech talk, poster session, and student panel portion of the event. Please fill out the interest form by Wednesday, October 18 at noon. If you are interested in attending the poster workshop, please submit your response by Thursday, October 12 at noon.
