Exciting event at UW!
The UW Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is excited to invite you to the second WomXn at the Forefront of ECE Research (WAFER) event at UW! This event aims to cultivate an inclusive environment for participants and speakers alike to share and learn more about research, hear others’ experiences in the field, and ultimately leave the event inspired to pursue a career in ECE or other tech-related fields. Speakers of WAFER include faculty, students, and industry leaders such as Amazon, Boeing, Impinj, Meta, and Microsoft.

Students’ participation is key!­
We would like to invite students who identify as women and/or non-binary, to an opportunity to showcase their research at the student tech talk, poster session, and student panel portion of the event. Please fill out the student interest form by Wednesday, October 18 at noon. 
Need help with making a research poster?
If you are interested in submitting a poster, a poster prep workshop will be hosted on October 16th at 6pm so you can receive personalized feedback from graduate student mentors before WAFER. Free dinner will be provided! Please fill out this workshop signup form by October 12th at noon if you are interested in participating in the workshop.
