Hello all,

The world of quantum computing hardware is becoming more complex every day. There are superconducting, trapped-ion, nitrogen-vacancy, and topological quantum computers (and probably more that I’m missing) – and these can be further subdivided into even more categories! How do we keep up?

UW is a unique place for quantum computing RND, in that there are people working in almost all of these directions. If you’re interested in learning (and/or teaching) about:
1. How these different types of QC hardware work
2. How far along they are in development
3. The relative advantages of each
4. etc.

Then you might consider filling out this QCHJC interest questionnaire.

To be clear, this is not intended to be a quantum algorithms journal club. For something more along those lines, see here.

Cheers,
– Abdel
