Interested in a career in the aerospace industry? The Boeing Company would like to cordially invite UW ECE Students to learn more about the industry through a tour of their Integrated Aircraft Systems Labs located in South Seattle. The building, which is over 600,000 square feet, houses Boeing Commercial Airplanes systems laboratories. Its main purpose is to help define, develop, integrate, support, and continuously improve engineering test systems and simulations for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

The facility houses all Avionics, Flight Control Test systems as well as Engineering simulators that support all Puget Sound products. The mission also includes the desire to continually optimize their capabilities to 1) accomplish accurate testing and analysis, in a disciplined and professional manner, at the lowest possible cost and 2) investigate, design, verify, and validate airplane systems, aircraft performance characteristics, and flight deck behavior.

In addition to the lab tour, you’ll also have the chance to fly an airplane in one of their engineering flight simulators.
