Please join Industry and Professional Programs for an exciting panel discussion on Patent Careers for Engineers on Monday, October 7th at 2:30 p.m. in ECE 269. Are you curious about the world of patents and intellectual property? This event is your chance to explore the dynamic field of patent careers.
Did you know that with just a degree in engineering, you’re eligible to take the Patent Office’s Registration Exam to become a Patent Agent? Patent Agents can make up to $20,000 a year more than similarly situated engineers and scientists. Our panel of experienced IP attorneys and a representative from the Practising Law Institute (PLI) will share their insights on patent career opportunities for engineers, preparation for the Patent Office’s Registration Exam, and the unique challenges and rewards of working in this field.
Our panelists include:
- Mark Dighton, Administrative Director, Patent Office Exam Course, Practising Law Institute (PLI)
- Scott Adams, Partner, Patent Prosecution and Chair of the Patent Hiring Committee at Davis Wright Tremaine
- Joseph Probst, Managing Principal, Dority & Manning
We hope you’ll join us for this opportunity to learn from the experts and network with professionals in the industry!
