Dear ECE graduate students,
    The ECE Department has three open faculty positions this year.  The 2024 ECE Faculty Search Committee is recruiting a member of the ECE graduate student community.   There will be a stipend for this position.   Work will start this month and continue through the faculty candidate visits in Winter and maybe spring.   Duties include:
  • Encourage participation in candidate visits (seminars, lunches, small group interviews, etc) by graduate students.  (visit details such as travel and scheduling will be organized and managed by the ECE events staff). 
  • Solicit and encourage student feedback to the committee on the candidates
  • Represent the voice of the students in post-visit committee discussions. 
This position is usually filled by a Ph.D. student, but an unusually motivated or experienced Masters student will be considered.   We encourage all interested applicants to apply via Google form HERE.     The application is brief but asks for your thoughts on
   1) What are your ideal qualities for an ECE assistant Professor hire?
   2) What are your ideas for maximizing participation by ECE grad students in candidate visits?  (we know about Pizza already!).
