Description: The course focuses on the strategy and tactics of creating a competitive portfolio of journal and conference papers. The advent of AI has dramatically changed how academic papers are planned, written, and perceived by the community. Every textbook and course created on this subject five years ago or before is now detached from the realities of the modern world. The course participants will focus on studying new opportunities and failure modes that appear in the process of publishing conference and journal papers. Participants will explore such aspects as productivity, originality, rigor, collaboration, and graphics design. This course is particularly valuable for students aspiring to build a distinguished scientific profile, which may support future applications in categories recognizing outstanding contributions in their field.
The syllabus is attached. 501 Syllabus – Wi 25
