Summary

The Wyze Engineering Product Manager plays a crucial role in the development and enhancement of the company’s product line. The responsibilities encompass various aspects of product development, engineering excellence, prototyping and testing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, continuous improvement, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Product Development:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch new Wyze products.
  • Contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
  • Proactively identify high impact issues early from various channels and lead issue investigations
  • Lead and oversee post-launch product enhancements to continuously deliver value to customers
  • Create prototypes for new products and features as needed. Iterating quickly to refine and improve designs.

Engineering Excellence:

  • Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems and optimize product performance.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of products to ensure they meet quality standards.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with design, engineering, quality assurance, and other teams to ensure successful product/feature launch.
  • Collaborate with ODM partners to ensure smooth production processes and high-quality output.

Business Intelligence:

  • Lead BI effort in your areas to better understand your customers.
  • Define and build metrics to monitor system health proactively post feature/product release.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of product requirements, specifications, and project status.

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of product designs, testing procedures, and engineering decisions.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (IT/MIS), Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience in product engineering, preferably in consumer electronics or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certifications for consumer electronic products.
