What is Snacks with Speaker?
Graduate students in the ECE department have the opportunity to sign up for our weekly “Snacks with Speaker” event that accompanies the department colloquium. Our colloquium is on Thursdays from 2:30-3:20 pm in ECE 125, where we bring in speakers from around the country to give talks about their cutting-edge research in all areas of ECE.
Following the colloquium from 3:30-4:20pm in ECE 403, there is a Snacks with Speaker event with free snacks, coffee, and tea! Our speakers will share their career trajectories and then open up the discussion for questions. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet field experts, ask questions, and network.
Please note that if you attend this event, you are expected to engage with the discussion. You will not be permitted to come to take food and leave or spend the time on your phone/computer. You do not have to attend the colloquium to come to the event, but please come to the talk if you can!
