The Electrical Engineering (EE) degree has been renamed to Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) for all graduate programs, including the MS, PMP, and PhD. There are no changes in the curriculum, this is simply a change in the degree titles to better reflect the variety of curriculum and research areas within our department and to be in alignment with the Electrical and Computer Engineering department name.
What this means for you:
- Current students can choose to graduate with either the EE or ECE degree title. If you have already applied to graduate, please see the note below.
- Please connect with your graduate advising team if you would like to change to the ECE degree before you apply to graduate.
- All new ECE graduate degree applications as of Autumn 2027 will be issued under the ECE degree.
- Spring 2032 will be the last quarter students can graduate with the EE degree.
