Autumn Quarter Funding Opportunity:
We’re looking for a grad student who is interested in learning more about accessibility and help the College of Engineering prepare for the upcoming ADA rule on digital accessibility.
The Autumn Quarter position is part of the Digital Accessibility Pilot, which is hiring Academic Student Employees (ASE) to provide targeted, discipline specific support in creating accessible digital materials. 
What is the role?
As the COE ASE, you’ll:
  • Work closely with CEO department faculty and staff to make course materials more accessible. 
  • Collaborate with UW Learning Technologies personnel to share insights and highlight areas where greater central support is needed.
  • Gain hands-on experience with accessibility tools and best practices. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or other degree in Engineering or an Engineering-related discipline
  • Experience in accessibility is preferred; if you have experience creating accessible documents, please mention it in your materials. It is also helpful to know about relevant lived experience and/or experience in fields such as disability studies.
