The Office of Undergraduate Research has formally launched a professional development series for mentors (including faculty, graduate students, post-docs, and staff) of undergraduate researchers which will be offered during the 2026-27 academic year. The series will include three in-person workshops aimed at promoting more equitable and inclusive research mentorship practices. Session titles are listed below:

We will also be offering info sessions for mentors to learn more about resources for undergraduate research at UW. Please visit our website to learn more and RSVP. Spaces are limited and sessions filled up quickly during our pilot series, so we encourage you to RSVP to reserve your spot.
Recognition for completion: Mentors who complete all three workshop sessions will receive digital and printed certificates and will be formally recognized on our website for having completed the training series.
